What could be better than the smell of freshly baked bread? This nicely braided pesto bread is a real treat concerning look and taste and should not be missed at any party.

Ingredients for one bread:

300 g of flour (type 550)

1/2 cube of yeast

1/2 tsp sugar

1 cup of warm milk

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp salt

4-5 tablespoons of basil pesto


Crumble the yeast and mix with warm milk and sugar. Let rest for 5 minutes.

Add flour, olive oil and salt and knead  into a smooth dough.

Put the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with cling film and let rise in a warm place for one hour.

Preheat the oven to 200 °C.

Roll out the dough into a rectangle and coat with pesto. Then roll up the dough from the long side.

Halve the dough roll and wrap the two dough strands around each other.

Place the bread on a tray lined with Blechrein Nature and bake in the oven for approx. 25 minutes.
