Aromatic Asparagus Packets

A wonderful and  uncomplicated asparagus recipe. The royal vegetables are wrapped with some herb butter in our Blechrein paper and tastes oh so aromatic thanks to the gentle cooking method. That’s how we like to enjoy the asparagus season.

Ingredients for 2 persons:

10 bars of asparagus

2 sheets of baking paper

Parmesan

Herb butter:

125 g soft butter

2 tablespoons chopped parsley

5 leaves of basil

1 sprigs of thyme

1TL salt

Preparation:

Finely chop the herbs and mix with the butter. Season with salt.

Peel the asparagus and free from the woody ends.

Form Blechrein White into pretty little packets and place 5 asparagus in each.

Heat the herb butter until liquid and pour over the asparagus.

Grill the asparagus packets indirectly for about 15 minutes or cook in the oven until the asparagus has softened.

Sprinkle with some Parmesan and enjoy.
