Gnocchi-Tuna-Bake - Blechrein

This tasty Gnocchi Tuna Bake is super juicy and tasty thanks to our Blechrein Cook. And since we also save the annoying cleaning of  the casserole, we can enjoy this Italian delicacy  very relaxed with a glass of wine.


300 g (11 ounces) tuna

500 g (1 pound and 2 ounces) Gnocchi

2 shallots

2 – 3 garlic cloves

250 g (9 ounces) tomatoes cut in pieces (in a tin)

½ bunch of parsley

Olive oil

Pepper, sugar, salt, chili

1 ball of mozzarella cheese

3 - 4 leaves of basil


  1. Prepare the Gnocchis following the packaging instructions.
  2. Chop the shallots, the garlic and the parsley. Heat some olive oil in a sauce pan and sauté the shallots. Add garlic, parsley and tomato pieces and bring everything to the boil.

  3. Add tuna and season with sugar, pepper, salt and chili as you like.

  4. Mix the Gnocchi with the tuna sauce and pour into a baking dish that is already prepared with Blechrein Cook.
  5. Cut the mozzarella into slices and place on top. Bake in the oven at 200°C (400°F) for 20 - 25 minutes and until the mozzarella is golden brown.

  6. Cut the basil leaves into pieces and spread over the bake.
